Business Acquisition: Scanco Medical AG to acquire b-cube AG

Scanco Medical AG and b-cube AG are pleased to announce that the two companies have entered negotiations for Scanco Medical to acquire b-cube in mutual agreement. Scanco Medical (www.scanco.ch) is a company that specializes in the development of state-of-the-art micro-computed tomography systems and b-cube (www.b-cube.ch) is an innovative service provider focused on high-resolution imaging and 3D analysis of porous and composite structures, such as bone, biomaterials and implants. With this acquisition, the two companies expect that b-cube’s products can be further enhanced with higher efficiency and a significant increase in the market share.

b-cube will work closely with partners and employees to make the transition as smooth as possible. The integration of the two companies will take place over the next three months and will start with the move of b-cube’s office and lab space to Brüttisellen, the headquarters of Scanco Medical. This move will take place before the end of September and b-cube clients will be contacted separately with more detailed information on the exact date. In the meantime b-cube’s customers will continue to receive the same high-quality service and products, which they have come to expect.
